Raipur : Forest and Climate Change Minister Kedar Kashyap today performed Bhoomi Pujan of 10 development works worth Rs 11 crore 18 lakh 21 thousand in Gram Panchayat Puspal under Mardapal tehsil of Kondagaon district. All this work will prove important towards strengthening the infrastructure and expansion of public facilities in the area. Kashyap distributed bicycles to 85 school students under the Saraswati Cycle Scheme by the Education Department.
Minister Kedar Kashyap while addressing the program said that the first priority of the government is to provide basic facilities to the last person. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, development work is being done at a rapid pace in the state, and special attention is also being paid to the preservation of tribal culture and traditions. Referring to Bastar Pandoom, he said that this event is a powerful medium to revive tribal art, culture and traditions. If our traditions are preserved, our identity and nature will also be preserved, he also appealed for participation of more and more people in Bastar Pandum. On this occasion, while giving information about the second phase of SIR conducted by the Election Department, Minister Kashyap said that it is the collective responsibility of all of us that no person should be left out of the voter list.
Bhoomipujan of 10 construction works
Works worth Rs 249.94 lakh are included for construction of stop dam in village Panchayat Puspal, Rs 34.00 lakh for construction of sub health center building in village Khadpadi, while works worth Rs 305.38 lakh are included for construction of 5.50 km asphalt road from Mardapal main road to Adawal. Similarly, Rs 264.34 lakh for the construction of 6 km asphalt road from Pohar to Cherakud, Rs 249.55 lakh for the construction of stop dam cum culvert on the drain in village Rengagondi and for the construction of 05 Devgudis for each work for the conservation and promotion of Dev forests in Kormel, Jondenga, Kongera, Todem and Margao Gram Panchayats under the State Campa Forest Department. Rs 3.00 lakh sanctioned work is included.
Apart from this, the education department distributed bicycles to school students under Saraswati Cycle Scheme to Hasel 6, Matwal 11, Hasalnar 39 and Bayarnar 29 students. District Panchayat member Mrs. Yashoda Kashyap, District Panchayat President Mrs. Anita Korram also addressed the program.
