Villagers are getting relief from Jal Jeevan Mission, pure drinking water is reaching every home.

Raipur : Jal Jeevan Mission has become a big relief for the villages today. With this scheme, now rural families have started getting clean and safe drinking water in their homes. This has provided permanent relief to the people from the water problem that has been going on for years. With the availability of pure water daily, the life of villagers has now become easier and safer than before.

Earlier, people in villages had to go far to get water. Women especially had to walk several kilometers every day to fetch water. Due to this, his time, hard work and health were affected. Due to lack of water, there was a lot of difficulty in tasks like cooking, cleaning and taking care of animals. Water is the most important need of our life. Water is required for every work from morning till night. Life cannot be imagined without water. Understanding this need, the government started Jal Jeevan Mission with the goal of “Water for every house”, so that drinking water can be supplied to every village.

Sukli Bai, a resident of village Rokhni, a dependent village of Khamhi, Gram Panchayat of Pandariya development block of Kabirdham district, who is benefiting from this scheme, says that due to increasing age, it had become very difficult for her to fetch water from far away. Getting water for bathing, cooking and cattle was also a big problem. Due to lack of water in the house, all the daily work was affected. He told that after getting tap connection in his house under Jal Jeevan Mission, he no longer has to go anywhere for water. Sufficient amount of clean water is available at home, due to which their life has now become easier and safer than before.

Sukli Bai expressed her gratitude to the government for providing the facility of pure drinking water at home through Jal Jeevan Mission. Today, through this scheme, tap water is reaching lakhs of houses in the district. Due to this, people’s health has improved, time is being saved and the standard of living has also improved. This scheme is a very commendable step towards the development of villages.
