The end of the year 2025 and the beginning of the new year 2026 is beginning with severe winter. 28 days have passed in the month of December, this month the state witnessed severe cold. If we talk about the last 24 hours, the weather remained dry in all the districts of the state. Bhopal, Ujjain, Gwalior, Rewa, Sagar and Shahdol are experiencing bone-chilling cold.

Coldest city of Mandsaur state

Mandsaur has remained the coldest city of Madhya Pradesh for the last two days. The state’s lowest temperature recorded here on Sunday was 2.5 degrees Celsius, which is the lowest temperature of this season. The minimum temperature here on Saturday (27 December) was measured at 2.9 degrees. The minimum temperature was measured at 2.8 degrees in Kalyanpur of Shahdol, 3.2 degrees in Girwar and Rewa of Shajapur, 3.5 degrees in Rajgarh and 3.8 degrees in Pachmarhi of Narmadapuram district. The effect of cold wave was also seen in these cities.

Cold wave alert in 9 cities

Along with severe cold, the effect of mist and fog is being seen in MP. Its impact is most visible in the northern and eastern parts of the state. Meteorological Department has issued yellow alert of cold wave for Bhopal, Vidisha, Sehore, Rajgarh, Indore, Shajapur, Anuppur, Shahdol and Seoni.

The Meteorological Department has warned of cold wave with dense fog in Gwalior, Datia, Bhind, Singrauli, Sidhi, Satna, Panna, Chhatarpur, Rewa and Mauganj. Whereas moderate fog may prevail in Tikamgarh, Niwari and Maihar.
