Big news has come out from Chaumu in Jaipur, Rajasthan, where suddenly there was a ruckus. Here a dispute started between two parties regarding the removal of stones kept outside the mosque. West Jaipur DCP Hanuman Prasad Meena said that there is Kalandari Mosque here, where a dispute regarding encroachment was going on for a long time. Meanwhile, tension suddenly spread in the area at midnight on Thursday.
It is being told that some people of a particular community started pelting stones at the police, after which the police had to use tear gas shells to control the situation. More than half a dozen policemen were injured in this violent clash. As the situation worsened, the police took action and detained about 75 stone pelters, including a dozen women.
Chaumun bus stand converted into police cantonment
As a precautionary measure, Chaumun bus stand and the surrounding area have been converted into a police cantonment. Many senior officers including Special Operations Commissioner Rahul Prakash, Additional Police Commissioner Dr. Rajeev Pachar and Manish Aggarwal reached the spot. The officers themselves are taking charge and keeping an eye on the situation. In view of the tension in the area, heavy police force is deployed. Now the situation is said to be under control.
Along with this, DCP Hanuman Prasad Meena also told about the matter that one party had removed the encroachment on their own will, but some people tried to erect it permanently again by installing iron angles. When the police were removing these structures, some people pelted stones at the police. Strict action will be taken against all the people involved in this case.
Internet services have been shut down
According to reports, internet has also been shut down in Chaumu. Services will remain closed here from 7:00 am on 26th December to 7:00 am on 27th December. To maintain peace in the matter, steps have been taken to temporarily shut down internet service.
