Raipur : Keeping the convenience and interests of the farmers paramount in the Kharif marketing year 2025-26, the ‘Tunhar Token’ mobile app based 24-hour online token system implemented by the state government is being successfully operated in the district. Under this new system, farmers are now able to get tokens for selling paddy at any time, sitting at home. This has not only made the paddy procurement process completely transparent, time bound and smooth, but has also provided relief to the farmers from long queues and unnecessary waiting. By getting tokens through mobile app, farmers are saving both time and resources.
Farmer Kamta Prasad Sonkar, resident of Khudmuda, got the benefit of this innovative system. He obtained the token for paddy sale through ‘Tunhar Token App’ at Ghughwa Procurement Center, in which the quantity of 63.20 quintals of paddy was recorded. The electronic weighing of their produce at the center was conducted smoothly and without any hassle.
Procurement of thick, thin and Sarna variety of paddy is going on regularly in all the procurement centers of the district. The support price rate list has also been clearly posted at the centers to ensure that farmers get fair prices for their produce with complete transparency.
Farmer Kamta Prasad Sonkar said that he will be able to repay his agricultural loan with the amount received from the sale of paddy. Expressing his gratitude towards the administration, he said that this year the process of purchasing paddy has been made very simple and convenient. Due to 24 hours online token system, now there is no problem regarding token and complete information is available on time. Due to the well-organized and transparent paddy procurement system, farmers are getting fair price for their hard work, thereby making them economically empowered.
