There was panic from the secretariat to the High Court! Personal appearance of Secretary Manoj Kumar in PESA case, date fixed on January 13

Ranchi: Hearing was held in Jharkhand High Court on the contempt petition filed in the matter of rules related to PESA law not being implemented till now. During the hearing held on Tuesday, Panchayati Raj Department Secretary Manoj Kumar was physically present in the court. During the hearing, the government asked for time. On which the court has fixed January 13, 2026 for the next hearing.

During the last hearing, the court had said that the ban imposed on allotment of sand ghats after the auction will continue for the time being and there will be no change in it till the next date. Let us tell you that this contempt petition has been filed by the Tribal Intellectual Forum. The case was heard in the division bench of Chief Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan and Justice Rajesh Shankar.
