Raipur : During the two years of good governance in the state under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, a new pace of development is being seen. In this sequence, the Chief Minister has given a historic gift to the city by approving various development projects worth Rs 107 crore 32 lakh to Kunkuri Nagar Panchayat area of Jashpur district. These schemes will lead to comprehensive and long-term improvement in the infrastructure, health, education, sports, tourism, transport and civic amenities of Kunkuri city.
With the aim of providing modern sports facilities to the youth in Kunkuri Nagar, construction of an Integrated Sports Complex at a cost of Rs 63 crore 84 lakh has been approved. This complex will prove to be a milestone in enhancing the sports talent of the regional youth.
Chief Minister Sai has fulfilled his promise to the public by approving Rs 5 crore for 53 development works in the Nagar Panchayat area. These works will strengthen the basic facilities in various wards and localities of the city and the quality of citizen services will improve significantly.
Giving a big gift to Kunkuri in the field of health, construction of Naturopathy building has been approved at a cost of Rs 2 crore 62 lakh. This will promote naturopathy, Ayurveda and yoga and provide better alternative health services to the citizens.
Rs 5 crore 17 lakh has been sanctioned for the overall development of Chhath Ghat to strengthen tourism and religious faith. Beautification and development of the ghat will boost local tourism and increase economic activities.
A modern multipurpose auditorium building will be constructed at a cost of Rs 6 crore 67 lakh for cultural and social activities in Kunkuri Nagar, which will provide a new platform for art, culture and social events. With the aim of strengthening the field of education, Rs 4 crore 37 lakh has been approved for 250 seater expansion of Nalanda campus, which will provide better educational environment to the students.
To make the traffic of the city well organized and convenient, approval has been given for the construction of a hi-tech bus stand at a cost of Rs 7 crore 26 lakh, which will provide modern facilities to the passengers and strengthen the traffic system. Along with this, Recreation Children Park will be constructed at a cost of Rs 1 crore 2 lakh for children’s entertainment and safe play in the city. LED street lights and other development works will be done from ward numbers 1 to 15 with an amount of Rs 6 crore, which will ensure better lighting and security in the city.
Through all these schemes, Kunkuri city is rapidly emerging as an ideal city with smart facilities, better health services, strong education, modern transportation and rich cultural activities. Under the good governance of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, Kunkuri city is becoming a new example of development, trust and future.
