According to the police, the name of the accused Simranjeet which is basically Punjab Is a resident of. He was living in a rented house in Durg. When his car was stopped during vehicle checking, the police became suspicious of him because his car had ‘Police’ It was written.
During interrogation, the accused identified himself as a BSF jawan, but when he was asked for his identity card and documents, he could not give a satisfactory answer. A thorough investigation revealed that the accused had made his own fake identity cardwhich he used to show to people as real. The police took him into custody on the spot.
In the preliminary investigation, it is also being found out how many people the accused has cheated so far or carried out any criminal activity by posing as a fake BSF. Police have seized his car, fake ID and other suspicious items.
Durg Police has appealed to the common citizens that if any person is seen indulging in suspicious activities claiming to be associated with the security forces, then they should immediately inform the police.
