Sarva Samaj has now openly come out in protest against the mining project of M/s Kamlesh Metacast Private Limited proposed in Pindwara area. A special Mahapanchayat of 36 communities was organized at Dewasi Samaj Dharamshala in Swaroopganj town, in which a clear ultimatum of one month was given to the government.
It was clearly said in the Mahapanchayat that if the mining project is not canceled within the stipulated time, then an indefinite agitation will be started on a large scale from January 28, 2026.
Before the Mahapanchayat, National President of National Animal Husbandry Association Lal Singh Raika was given a grand welcome by the Devasi Samaj and Sarva Samaj at the Bajrang intersection of Swaroopganj. After this a huge rally was taken out in the town. Thousands of people participated in the rally and raised slogans against the mining project. People demanded the government to immediately cancel this mining project proposed on about 800 hectares, i.e. about 3200 bighas of land.
Mining threatens pasture, farming and environment
Said in the Mahapanchayat that this mining project will prove disastrous for the entire area. Loss of pasture land will have a direct impact on the livelihood of cattle herders. There will be a danger of agricultural land becoming barren and dust and pollution from mining will also have a negative impact on people’s health. Speakers said that it has now become necessary to fight unitedly to save the Aravalli mountain range.
Social worker Bharat Saradhana said that cooperation will be given at every level to cancel this project and the general public will be continuously made aware about its ill effects. Rakesh Rawal assured full support to the movement on behalf of the tribal community. Bhikhu Singh Dewasi appealed to the people to remain united and make this mass movement successful.
Movement near NH-27 from 28th January
National Animal Husbandry Association President Lal Singh Raika, while announcing the movement at the end of the Mahapanchayat, said that the government is being given one month’s time. If the mining project is not canceled during this period, then an indefinite agitation will be started near National Highway-27 near Sargamata Temple from 28 January 2026. This movement will continue until the project is completely cancelled.
Direct impact on cattle herders and farmers
Lal Singh Raika said that cattle herders will suffer the most from mining. Due to depletion of pastureland, there will be a huge problem of fodder for animals. Also, dust and pollution from mining will affect farming and create environmental imbalance in the area.
Advocate Tushar Purohit, giving information about the legal and environmental aspects of the project, said that it is a serious threat to mining rules and the environment. He assured that he will stand firmly with the public until the project is cancelled.
Struggle committee expressed gratitude
Mining Struggle Committee expressed gratitude to all the societies, organizations and common people present in the Mahapanchayat. The committee said that this fight is not just for one village or society, but for the future of the entire Sirohi district and Aravali. At the conclusion of the Mahapanchayat, the message was given that only through unity will Aravali be saved and mining projects will be cancelled.
