CG News Under :Musurputta village of Dudhawa region of Chhattisgarh has today become an inspiration for the entire state. This village with a population of about 1900 started a unique initiative to promote the education of children, which changed the picture of education. Here, for the last 12 years, class 10th and 12th toppers are being taken on an airplane ride.
This scheme was started in the year 2013. The objective was clear – to create an environment of education in the village and inspire children to dream big. Initially it was just an experiment, but gradually its results proved to be shocking. Today, most of the children of the village are passing the 10th and 12th examinations in first division and the number of toppers is continuously increasing.
The entire expense of this unique scheme is borne by the people of the village together. According to the founder member of the scheme and educationist Dhanraj Bhaskar, the officers and employees working in government services from the villages play an important role in this. Earlier only 15 people were associated with this initiative, but now this number has increased to 110. These include Deputy Collector, SDM, teachers, policemen, army personnel and clerks. On the occasion of Diwali, all the officials of the village gather and make a strategy to take this scheme forward.
The impact of this initiative is clearly visible on the self-confidence of children. Children who used to lag behind in studies earlier have now started scoring good marks. Teachers say that when children are shown the right direction, motivation and a strong dream, they can make even the impossible possible.
