Jaipur. On the instructions of Kotputli-Behror Commissioner Food Safety and Drug Controller Dr. T. Shubhamangala, District Collector Priyanka Goswami and Additional District Collector Dr. Omprakash Saran, the team of Food Safety Department inspected a Mawa plant located in Goneda village. Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Ashish Singh Shekhawat said that samples of mawa and milk have been taken from the plant, which have been sent to the laboratory in Jaipur for testing.
During the inspection, about 250 kg of milky and moldy sweets and about 50 kg of moldy sugar were recovered from the godown of the plant, which were destroyed on the spot. The team gave guidelines to the food businessmen regarding safe handling of food items, cleanliness and adherence to quality standards. The cleanliness system in the plant was not found satisfactory, on which the department issued an improvement notice. The officer said that after receiving the investigation report, action will be taken against the concerned operator as per rules under the FSSA Act. Food Safety Officer Neha Sharma was also present during the action.
