RANCHI: Gangster Aman Srivastava has got a big relief from Jharkhand High Court. The division bench of the High Court has granted him bail in two separate criminal cases. The court said that concrete evidence of Aman Srivastava’s direct role in these cases has not emerged.
During the hearing, the court also remarked that among the facts cited by the prosecution, Aman Srivastava’s name has been added mainly on the basis of the alleged confession statements of other accused. According to the court, there is no concrete evidence on record to prove that Aman Srivastava had direct involvement in these incidents.
The first case is related to ATS Ranchi. In this case, the police had recovered about Rs 27 lakh from Siddharth Sahu and Vinod Pandey. The investigating agency claimed that this amount belonged to Aman Srivastava and on this basis he was made an accused. The court made it clear that someone’s role cannot be proved merely on the basis of recovery of money.
The second case is from Hindpiri police station area of Ranchi. Here weapons and bombs were recovered from one of the accused. During investigation, these weapons were found to be linked to the Aman Srivastava gang. However, the court found that in this case also no direct and concrete evidence has been presented against Aman Srivastava. Keeping all these facts in mind, the High Court has ordered bail to Aman Srivastava in both the cases.
