New Delhi Former Chief Minister of Punjab and Bharatiya Janata Party leader Amarinder Singh gave a big statement on Friday, Criticizing the functioning of the BJP, he said that unlike the Congress, the party is not consulting him, However, he completely ruled out the possibility of returning to Congress,

In an interview given to the media, Amarinder Singh said that after leaving the Congress, he is still hurt by the way he was removed from the post of Chief Minister, hence the question of joining the Congress does not arise. He said that in BJP all decisions are taken in Delhi and grassroots leaders are not consulted. He said, ‘I have 60 years of political experience, but I cannot impose myself on them.’

However, Amarinder Singh praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said Modi has special affection for Punjab and he would do anything for the state. On Navjot Kaur Sidhu’s statement that in Punjab, the one who gives a suitcase worth Rs 500 crore becomes the Chief Minister, Singh described Navjot Singh Sidhu and his wife as unstable and advised Sidhu to leave politics and focus on cricket commentary. Singh said that BJP can become strong in Punjab only if it joins hands with Shiromani Akali Dal. He claimed that both the parties will eventually come together as no government can be formed in Punjab without an alliance.

Taunted on Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann
Taking aim at the present Aam Aadmi Party government, the former chief minister alleged that Punjab was going through the worst phase of terrorism after years. Amarinder Singh took a jibe at Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, saying that he only comes on TV and tells jokes. Singh alleged that Punjab has become a beggar state due to free schemes. He also claimed that Mann is only the nominal head, while the real decisions of Punjab are being taken by Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia. Singh urged people to consider the BJP for stability, as India’s security is linked to Punjab’s interests.
