Bhopal Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will perform the Bhoomi Pujan of ‘Samrat Vikramaditya Entrance’ and modern e-bus depot under the Pradhan Mantri Electric e-Bus Seva Yojana in Bhopal today. This is being considered an important milestone in the direction of simultaneously taking forward the cultural heritage and modern urban development of Madhya Pradesh. This program will be organized at Maharana Pratap Government Higher Secondary School, Phanda campus at 11 am. Under the programme, the foundation stone of the Samrat Vikramaditya entrance gate and the state-of-the-art e-bus depot under the Pradhan Mantri e-Bus Seva Yojana will be laid.

In order to simultaneously take forward the cultural heritage of Madhya Pradesh and modern urban development, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will perform the Bhoomi Pujan of two important projects in Bhopal. Under this, the foundation stone of Samrat Vikramaditya entrance gate and modern e-bus depot under the Prime Minister e-Bus Seva Yojana will be laid. The Chief Minister has already said that the priority of the state government is to bring the concept of “development with heritage” on the ground. Under this thinking, historical symbols are being linked to the identity of modern cities, so that the coming generations can be kept connected to the cultural roots of the state.
Initiative to cherish the glorious heritage from Vikramaditya gateway
The purpose of the Samrat Vikramaditya entrance gate being built on the Bhopal-Indore State Highway is to connect the glorious historical tradition of the state with the modern urban structure. This entrance will be a symbol of the bravery, justice and cultural consciousness of Emperor Vikramaditya, which will strengthen the historical identity of Bhopal and will also provide a new direction to beautification and urban development.
E-bus service scheme will increase connectivity and convenience
The second project is the state’s largest and modern e-bus depot to be built in Bhopal under the Pradhan Mantri E-Bus Seva Yojana. This depot will be completely environment friendly with many facilities like solar power, rain water harvesting, charging station and modern maintenance. Initially, more than 100 electric buses will operate from this depot, which will make Bhopal and surrounding areas pollution-free and increase connectivity. The operation of electric buses will reduce pollution and will provide modern and affordable transportation facilities to the passengers.
