For the first time a permanent house was built from Niyad Nella Naar in sensitive village Chipurbhatti.

Raipur : No matter how deep the darkness is, a ray of hope dispels it. This adage has been fulfilled by 74-year-old Rambai of Naxal-affected Niad Nellanar village Chipurabhatti of Ussur development block, in whose life the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana has filled new light.

It was difficult to implement government schemes in this village which was facing Naxalite terror for years. Neither development work nor any construction could be done. But the situation changed with the beginning of the Niyyad Nellanar programme, and for the first time, the way for construction of pucca houses in the village under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana opened.

Rambai got her first permanent house, smile returned to her life

Elderly Rambai had lost her two sons due to illness. The responsibility of his daughter-in-law and four grandchildren was on him. Life had become a struggle by living in a dilapidated hut. Rambai tells that she did not think that happiness would ever come in our lives. Due to Maoist terror no work was done in the village. When the PM’s residence was approved for the financial year 2024–25 with an amount of Rs 1 lakh 20 thousand, it seemed as if new hope had been found in life.

Today his permanent house has been completed and it is the first approved and completed house in the village. She is calling it the biggest support for old age.

Lakhmu Panik also got accommodation, circumstances changed

In the same sequence, Lakhmu Panik of the village has also been approved for housing under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural). After the death of his wife, he raised his son alone and took care of the family by farming 2 acres of land. Today his son is married and the house is filled with happiness from the footsteps of his grandson. Lakhmu told that with the help of the government, now we will also have a permanent house. It is not just a house, but the safety and respect of our family.

New beginning of development in Naxal affected village

These two houses, provided under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, have not only changed the lives of two families, but have also given the message that the light of development is continuously spreading in the Naxal affected areas. The Niyad Nellanar program has given new impetus to this change.
