Jaipur On Wednesday, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma inaugurated the first Pravasi Rajasthani Day program in the capital of Rajasthan, expatriate Rajasthanis settled in the country and abroad are participating in the program. Addressing the expatriate Rajasthanis from all over the world, the Chief Minister said that you have raised the prestige of Rajasthan’s soil and Rajasthan’s culture in different countries. I am thankful to you for this. The Chief Minister said, I know you may live in any corner of the world but your heart beats only for Rajasthan.
Chief Minister Bhajan Lal said that last year we had said that we will organize Pravasi Rajasthani Day on 10th December every year, we had imagined that the diaspora Rajasthani sisters would also come here in large numbers and today is the moment when your presence in such large numbers is making us proud. He said that you people carry with you the spirit of Rajasthani soil, the enterprise of Shekhawati, the pride of Mewar and the glorious tradition and culture of Rajasthan.
Industrialists from many groups including Vedanta, Tata Power included
The event is being organized at JECC Jaipur, with more than 8,700 people having registered for it. Ground breaking of investment proposals worth Rs 1 lakh crore will take place in this program. Besides, along with the Overseas Rajasthani Policy, policies related to investment promotion will also be unveiled. Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Bagde, Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria, Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, Rajasthan government ministers and other public representatives are participating in the program. Besides, many industrialists including Vedanta Group Chairman Anil Agarwal and Tata Power CEO and MD Praveer Sinha are also participating in the program.
Honoring migrants and cultural programs
In this one-day program, there will be diaspora Rajasthani dialogue and sectoral sessions based on various important topics related to industry, energy, water, mines, education, tourism and health. In these special sessions, experts will consider the changing industrial and investment environment of Rajasthan and the possibilities of engagement in sectoral sessions on various topics. During this, Pravasi Rajasthani Samman will also be given to those who have done commendable work in various fields. Along with this, there will be a cultural program in the evening, which will give a glimpse of Rajasthani culture.
12 International Rajasthan Chapter officials included
Officials of all 26 Rajasthan chapters will participate in the program. It has 12 international chapters, which include Munich (Germany), Nairobi (Kenya), Dubai (UAE), Singapore, Doha (Qatar), Tokyo (Japan), Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), Melbourne (Australia), Kampala (Uganda), Kathmandu (Nepal), London (UK), New York (USA). Also, 14 chapters are domestic, including Delhi, Ranchi, Guwahati, Pune, Bhubaneswar, Mumbai, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Surat, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Indore, Kolkata and Coimbatore.
Launch of more than 10 new policies
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, the state government is working in a planned manner to put the investment proposals on the ground. A total of investment agreements worth Rs 35 lakh crore were signed in Rising Rajasthan, out of which MoUs worth Rs 7 lakh crore have come on the ground. With the ground breaking of investment agreements worth Rs 1 lakh on December 10, this figure will increase to Rs 8 lakh crore. Besides, more than 10 new policies will also be unveiled in line with the policy decisions being taken towards making the state an excellent investment destination. This also includes the Overseas Rajasthani Policy.
