Raipur : Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma today gave a new direction of development to Nagar Panchayat Pipariya and gifted construction works worth a total of Rs 5.5 crore. In the program organized at PMSwami Atmanand English Medium School, Pipariya campus, Deputy Chief Minister Sharma performed bhumi pujan and inaugurated various construction works by performing rituals.

He said that it is our priority to equip urban areas with modern facilities. These works will prove to be a milestone in giving impetus to education, infrastructure and community development. With these projects, unprecedented changes have started in the field of education, public facilities and urban development in Pipariya. This gift will prove to give new momentum to Pipariya in the coming years. On this occasion, District Panchayat President Ishwari Sahu, Vice President Kailash Chandravanshi, Nagar Panchayat Pipariya President Ghurvaram Sahu, District Panchayat members Dr. Virendra Sahu, Mukesh Aggarwal, Nirmal Dwivedi, Councilor Kamal Kant Navik, Som Patel, public representatives, distinguished citizens and students were present.

Bhoomipujan of construction works worth Rs 5.5 crore in Pipariya

Deputy Chief Minister Sharma performed Bhoomi Pujan of construction works worth Rs 5.5 crore in Pipariya. He constructed PM Swami Atmanand English Medium School at a cost of Rs 1 crore 60 lakh 92 thousand, community hall at a cost of Rs 14 lakh 83 thousand, Jaiswal community building at a cost of Rs 10 lakh, construction of chauriya, clock and other chowks at various places at a cost of Rs 3 crore 31 lakh 90 thousand – beautification, high mast light, RCC drain, CC road, boundary wall, gymnasium, community hall and pathway. Construction of chemical, pre-science and physics laboratory at Swami Atmanand English Medium School at a cost of Rs 19 lakh and the construction of a new food warehouse at a cost of Rs 20 lakh was performed. Deputy Chief Minister Sharma said that all these projects will give new momentum to Pipariya towards modern education, better infrastructure facilities and strong urban development.

He said that Rs. 3.5 crore has been sanctioned for ITI and Rs. 1.5 crore for the construction of Scheduled Caste hostel, which will directly benefit the youth and students.

During the program organized in the premises of Swami Atmanand English Medium School located in Pipariya, Deputy Chief Minister Sharma said that strengthening the education system is the top priority of the government. He said that Rs 1 crore 60 lakh has been sanctioned for the upgradation of PM schools, which is being made available under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai. He took information about the arrangement of smart class run in the school and its usefulness from the students. He said that smart classes are being established in 50 schools of Kawardha assembly. On this occasion, while sharing his experience of teaching science subject through 3-D technology, he said that the children of government schools are extremely talented and today they are performing excellently in every field. He said that after the formation of the new government, urban development work has gained new momentum and Pipariya will see massive changes in the coming years due to the expansion of education, health and basic facilities.

Rapid expansion in health facilities

Deputy Chief Minister Sharma said that Kawardha got a big gift of a medical college and the construction work will start soon. Preparations are being made for 50 seats in the Medical College and approval for 60 posts has also been received. He said that for the expansion of health services, approval of Rs 52 lakh each has been received for community health centers in Pipariya and Taregaon. A 50-seater critical care hospital for children, the capacity of the district hospital has been increased from 100 to 220 beds, and CT scan service has been started. Sonography service has been started in Bodla. Ambulance facility has also been started at two places including Pipariya. To provide better connectivity to the new bus stand and medical college, both the routes of Gaurav Path including Ghotia Road are being upgraded.

Clean and prosperous district will be built with public participation

The Deputy Chief Minister said that remarkable work is being done in the field of health and youth welfare. Bhoramdev Vidyapeeth is running free coaching centres. Bhoomipujan of Nalanda complex has been done at a cost of Rs 4.5 crore. Construction of facilities for Kanwariya devotees will be done in the ancient Budha Mahadev complex of Kawardha. Approval of Rs 146 crore has been received for the upgradation of Bhoramdev tourism area. He said that the pace of development works in Kawardha Assembly is continuously increasing. Rs 54 crore has been sanctioned to give a high standard look to the Kawardha entry road by developing Raipur-Bilaspur-Rajnandgaon road into four lane. The Deputy Chief Minister said that the government is committed to balanced and comprehensive development in all parts of the region. Public cooperation is necessary in the field of cleanliness. Public awareness and community cooperation is very important to make every ward and every street clean. He directed the construction agencies to complete all the work in a quality, transparent and timely manner.
