Farmer Shobhit Ram sold 18 quintals of paddy and used the amount received to build a house.

Raipur : Under the campaign to purchase paddy at support price, today 45-year-old farmer Shobhit Ram Yadav, resident of village Kanchanpur in Korea district, reached the cooperative society, Jampara and sold paddy. He had obtained the token through the committee.

Farmer Ramadhin told that he had cultivated paddy in 0.3600 hectare land this year. Along with the sale of 18 quintals of paddy, he has also surrendered an amount of 1 quintal of paddy in the procurement centre. As per the support price rate of Rs 2369 per quintal set by the state government, they will receive an amount of Rs 42,642. He told that he will use the amount received from paddy sale for future farming and daily needs.
