Temperatures have been recorded below normal in most of the districts of the state, due to which the chill in the morning and night has increased further.
The minimum temperature in the capital Ranchi was recorded at 7.5°C on Sunday, which shows a drop of about three degrees in the last 24 hours. At the same time, the temperature in Kanke adjacent to the city reached 4.4°C, due to which people looked distressed due to the harsh morning cold. Meteorologists believe that the night temperature will continue to fluctuate and the effect of cold winds will continue in the next week also.

The temperature in Daltonganj was about 5°C below normal, due to which the effect of cold has become more intense. The weather center estimates that the cold may increase further in these districts in the coming days.
A slight increase of 1–2 degrees in temperature is possible in Ranchi and surrounding areas in the next three to four days. However, after this a decline may be seen again. During this period, there is a possibility of dense fog in the morning, light sunshine in the afternoon and dry, cold winds at night.
Temperatures in major districts of the state were recorded as follows: Ranchi 7.5°C, Jamshedpur 9.6°C, Medininagar 6.5°C, Khunti 5.0°C and Godda 10.7°C. It is clear from these figures that the effect of winter in Jharkhand is not going to stop yet.
