Jaipur Deependra Singh alias Sagar, an associate of notorious gangster Rohit Godara gang, has absconded from interim bail in Jaipur. He came out on interim bail for five days after setting up fake sureties and Deependra Singh alias Sagar absconded, the police has announced a reward of Rs 25,000 on him. The scoundrel Sagar is a wanted criminal in two murder cases. There are 15 cases registered against rogue Sagar across the state, including murder.
Jaipur DCP (West) Hanuman Prasad Meena said that the police is conducting raids in search of gangster Rohit Godara gang associate Deependra Singh alias Sagar, resident of Ajitgarh Sikar. A cash reward of Rs 25,000 has been announced for providing information about criminal Deependra Singh alias Sagar.
The criminal Deependra Singh alias Sagar came out of jail on five-day interim bail on November 30. He had to come to jail by 5 pm on 4th December (Thursday). When he did not return, the Ajmer High Security Jail Superintendent sent a report to the court. After this, security agencies started raids in many states including Rajasthan.
He has been in jail for three years
The criminal Deependra Singh alias Sagar had murdered Mahavir Meena in Harmada in 2019, after which he went to jail. As soon as he came out of jail after about two years, he murdered Bijendra Gulabbari in Kardhani area, after which he remained in jail for three consecutive years.
Vijender Gulabbari’s father has filed a report against Sagar that three days ago he was strolling outside the house when a young man with a cloth tied over his face came and held him by his collar and asked – Do you recognize him? I have come out of Sagar jail, give me 25 lakh rupees in 3 days otherwise we will kill your younger son also.
Sagar was in contact with gangster Rohit Godara
Despite being lodged in Ajmer Central Jail for a long time, the criminal Sagar was in constant touch with gangster Rohit Godara, who was sitting abroad. This has been confirmed by his friend Om Singh during interrogation. Sagar called Om Singh from jail itself in January. Sagar got his friend Om Singh to download the Signal app. ID was also given to talk to gangster Rohit Godara. In September, gangster Rohit Godara had also sent Rs 25 lakh from Om through hawala. Then Om was sent to Dubai on 2 October. He returned from Dubai after 6 days. Om Singh is also on the radar in the Ramesh Rulaniya murder case of Kuchaman.
Sagar absconds after taking fake bail
In bail, Sagar said that there is a brother’s wedding at home. There is no man in the house so bail should be given. The court had granted bail for 5 days. Kardhani police searched the record of the surety who appeared in the court. The address of Kotwali resident Rameshwar Thathera turned out to be fake. Police are conducting raids in border areas including Rajasthan, Delhi, Haryana.
