Raipur : A review meeting of Chief Executive Officers of District Cooperative Central Banks was organized today in Naya Raipur under the chairmanship of Kedar Nath Gupta, Authorized Officer of Apex Bank. Officials told in the meeting that short-term agricultural loans are being provided to the farmers through 2058 PACS committees of the state. Against the target of Rs 9 thousand crore set for Kharif and Rabi crops, loans worth Rs 7 thousand 261 crore have been distributed so far, which is 80.68 percent of the target.
Gupta directed that entry of current and expired amounts of distributed agricultural loans should be done compulsorily within three days in the registrar module and paddy procurement module, so that 100 percent loan recovery can be ensured through linking. Gupta, the authorized officer of Apex Bank, also directed in the meeting that the list of time-worn indebted farmers should be displayed on the information board. Besides, the CEOs of district cooperative banks were also directed to allocate more funds of cooperative institutions only in cooperative banks, so that the cooperative system of the state becomes more economically powerful. On this occasion, Managing Director of Apex Bank K. N. Kande, General Manager Yugal Kishore, OSD Avinash Srivastava and other senior officers were present.
